After my crazy busy Monday, Tuesday was calm like a nice hug. I woke up and stayed in bed, listening to the radio while I watched G get dressed and ready for work. I got out of bed for a goodbye kiss and took my time getting ready to face the day. On my way to the car, I stopped to stare at my beautiful, blossoming cherry tree for a few minutes. This little beauty makes me so happy. (I noticed after posting this that I really should have framed this better. I'm reshooting this tomorrow so that the house number doesn't look so cut off.)
For some reason, the men I share a workspace with seem to be unable to clean up after themselves, so I did some dishes while I waited for the coffee to brew. I needed some help updating my Lightroom so that I could view the files from my new camera and was lucky enough that one of my friends was there to help me out. A colleague came by to pick up a lens that she bought from me... now I only have one more Canon lens to get rid of (yay!).
There was a notification from the post office that I had a package waiting for me, so I went to pick it up after my studio time. My WITL kit was finally here! Hooray! I am so happy that it's here and that I can start getting an idea of how to put this thing together, I can see that I need to try and take more portrait format pictures vs. landscapes... that will definitely be a challenge (and I love challenges).
From the post office to the library. I'm so thankful for my small town, the library and post office are pretty much on the same street (and only around a 3 minute drive from my house, so perfect for stopping by on my way home). I checked out two books and am excited to have some time to read.
When I got home, I made some lunch (from leftover potatoes). I had a phone call from my mom. She's visiting my sister in the US, it was really nice to talk to her.
After I got off the phone, I sat down, reviewed my Monday photos and wrote a blog post. Lúna slept on the bed while I wrote and unpacked my WITL kit. She is such a good companion. I never would have believed it before getting her, but she has just become a part of who I am. We are almost always together and no matter what I do around the house, she follows me around like a shadow.
G came home from work at 5:30 and we sat down to drink coffee and talk about our day. I love the time we get to share with each other.
Eurovision night tonight! We don't get as excited as many of our friends about this, but if we want to be able to participate in any conversations tomorrow, we had better watch this thing tonight. It was a good competition, but disappointed that Iceland did not qualify for the final contest on Saturday. (Or maybe not disappointed, maybe secretly glad that we now don't have any social pressure to watch on Saturday). After Eurovision, we got caught up on Game of Thrones. Man, I'm loving this season... A little weirded out about not knowing anything since the show has officially passed the books (sort of). I'm not sure how I like that, but I better get used to it fast.
