December is almost here and for the first time in years I'm feeling the jittery excitememt of the season that will be here soon, so soon. The first of my decorations are slowly emerging from their boxes and my advent candles are ready to be lit for the first of advent.
This year I will be participating in December Daily and plan on telling my December story in a 6X8 pocket page album. I've decided to put myself on a bit of a spending freeze, so I went through my stash and pulled out items I figured would work well with my vision of Christmas. This year I'm gravitating towards classic white, red and gold in my home decor and in my album as well.
Instead of buying a kit for this album, I challenged myself to get creative and use what I have. I pulled out a 6x6 paper pad that I've had forever (Making Memories ca 2006) and cut it up into 3x4 cards.
I subscribe to Ali Edwards Story Kit and Story Stamp (yeah, I said I'm on a spending freeze... no way I'm letting my subscription go), I pulled out some of the themes I figured could work with my album as well as some other stamp sets from my stash. I also pulled some gold paint and silk screens from my stash and made a whole lot of journaling and filler cards for my album and love the way it's starting to come together.
I'm sharing pics of the stamps and the cards I made with them. Most are Ali Edwards but a few are from Studio Calico.
I'm so happy you stopped by. My best holiday wishes to you.
